About the event
For our first event of the year, we remain focused on Penn Station, but we look abroad for advice and expertise. For the first time, we’re bringing together leading experts from Germany, the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), and consultants with expertise in governance to discuss the transformative potential of thru-running rail.
Moderated by Michael Aronson, of the New York Daily News Editorial Board, this webinar promises a rich discussion on the lessons we can draw from successful thru-running systems worldwide.
For years, advocates have championed thru-running—enabling trains to run through Penn Station rather than terminating there—as a transformative solution to better connect the U.S. Northeast region. While this concept has proven successful in cities large and small across the globe, its implementation in our region has faced significant challenges.
